Our volunteers are the life of Voices for Life. Our organization’s success does not happen without each volunteer. How much we accomplish is only limited by the number of people involved.

Volunteer Highlights
In addition to pro-life canvassing, Brian loves to use his talents to serve the greater good. An artist, Brian owns, “Freedom Wood Crafting”, and donates wood pieces for our office and events.
Mark is willing to do ANYTHING to support the mission. He will jump in for canvassing shifts, volunteer at events, provide office maintenance, and spend hours combing through abortion reports and more.
Jenna has been a long time volunteer in the pro-life movement. She has recently stepped up as a pro-life leader to lead the Sidewalk Advocacy team with strength and charity.
Mike joined the pro-life movement with a simple commitment: he would take photos! Mike provides professional photography to share our life-saving work with the world.
An IUSB student, Mary has been involved in the Indiana pro-life movement for a long time. Now she leads the Students for Life club on campus and sidewalk counsels.
Phin is willing to volunteer rain or shine, and uses his personal testimony of adoption to share the pro-life message in South Bend. Phin is always willing to share to pray with hurting people he meetings while on the block.
Tony is veteran to the pro-life movement. Tony uses his accounting skills to serve the movement so well, he is affectionately called the “patron saint of accountants” by the VFL team.
Jill plays an active role to sharing the pro-life message. She sidewalk counsels, canvasses, and leads the Students for Life high school group at St. Thomas More Academy.
Patrick has a unique gentleness about that allows him to reach even the hardest of hearts with the pro-life message. He often makes friends with people he meets while canvassing.
Originally from Vietnam, Dan and his family fled the corrupt government to pursue a better life in America. In addition to sidewalk counseling, Dan is always ready to serve his partner volunteers with umbrellas and snacks.
Her passion for rehumanizing the vulnerable in a desensitized culture prompted her to step up as an activist. Carlee trained as a canvasser and now goes out with her three-month-old son, Jacob.
A ND Law School Alum, Ben also serves as local counsel in Voices for Life’s lawsuits, and has donated countless hours to research for the case.
Beth received our volunteer award for “Coziest Volunteer” because our staff love working and talking with her when comes to the office. No matter what we’re working on, it’s like grabbing coffee with a friend!
Mia is bilingual, and she is extremely passionate about reaching fellow Spanish speakers with the pro-life message. She also works to engage her friends and community at St. Thomas Church in pro-life work.
Daniel is extremely well-read on pro-life arguments and evidence, but puts this knowledge to practice. If you meet him, ask about his encounter with a Satanist while canvassing!
Hannah advocates for the sanctity of life in her various leadership roles, including Vice President of her Christian Medical and Dental Association chapter and Indiana State Medical Association student delegate.
With an unwavering commitment to justice, Dan quickly became one of our most committed volunteers canvassing nearly every Saturday and assisting with many pro-life projects and events.
Dr. Jim Berndt has been a staple in the Michiana pro-life community for many years. He now canvasses nearly every Thursday with his volunteer buddy, Janell.
Jeremy is an amazing partner in leading our pro-life canvassing efforts in Central Indiana. Jeremy is the president of Boone County RTL, and he serves as a sidewalk advocate at Planned Parenthood in Indianapolis.
Elizabeth was inspired by Jenna Smith’s passion for the pro-life movement to go through sidewalk advocacy training. She sees Voices for Life as a great opportunity to witness the love of Christ to others on the sidewalk.
Casimir felt that volunteering for the pro-life cause was simply the “right thing to do”. Casimir has become an essential part of Voices for Life’s event’s team helping in any way that’s needed.
Anastasia shares, “ It’s very rewarding having conversations whether someone is neutral, they’re already pro-life or even being able to pray for the cold hearted.”
A student at St. Mary’s College, Lydia is cheerful and passionate, and she shares resources with clients whenever she volunteers.
An Air Force veteran, Catherine is courageous and kind. She will share support with ANYONE. After each encounter, she’ll lead her team in prayer for the individual they just spoke to.
Emma advocates for the preborn every way she can; celebrating Roe’s demise in front of the supreme court, testifying on Indiana’s abortion ban, door knocking, and praying on Clinic for Women’s sidewalk.
Roger holds the distinction of being Voices for Life’s youngest, and cutest, volunteer. When he attends events or hangs at the office, Roger’s presence is a constant, and loud, reminder of why we do what we do.
“If you can’t find anyone else, I will be there.” That’s Peter’s pro-life mantra. No matter how tired or busy he is, he is ready to take action.
Pedro sidewalk counsels, canvasses, and supports the IUSB Students for Life group. He is known for his generous gifts of candy and Mexican sweet treats to his fellow volunteers during outreach.
Jack begin sidewalk counseling when he was a freshman at Notre Dame and transitioned to canvassing. Jack’s empathy and listening skills allow him to have meaningful conversations about abortion with everyone.
Josef has used his fantastic photography skills to take thousands of photos highlighting the courageous work of sidewalk advocates and the brutal reality of abortion clinics.
Diana trained as a sidewalk advocate in 2023 and volunteers after work. She also lends her strong organizational skills to Voices for Life’s event team, and serves as a prayer leader and chauffeur for our mission trips.
